Business For Good
Championing inclusion, sustainability and change
At Small Business Britain, we believe entrepreneurship has the power to change lives, and that the opportunity to build a business should be open to everyone.
The Business For Good department leads a portfolio of independent reviews, campaigns and centres, championing underrepresented founders and driving change: from f:Entrepreneur, celebrating women in business, to the LILAC Centre, supporting Disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent founders; from the Cedar Review into refugee entrepreneurship and the Maple Review tackling economic deprivation, to the Willow Review, making the economic case for sustainability in small business.
They reflect our commitment to a more inclusive and more sustainable future for UK small businesses.
The LILAC Centre
The LILAC Centre champions inclusive entrepreneurship for Disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent founders.
Led by Small Business Britain, and supported in partnership with Lloyds and ARU Peterborough, the LILAC Centre brings lived experience, innovation and practical support together to remove barriers, build confidence and create real opportunities for Disabled founders to thrive.
Through research, collaboration and a growing community of entrepreneurs, organisations and allies, the LILAC Centre is working to shape a fairer, more inclusive future for business.
Via free resources such as webinars, online and in person networking events, a new tailored mentoring programme and more, the LILAC Centre is a space to champion inclusive entrepreneurship and spotlight businesses being led by Disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent entrepreneurs.

The Willow Review
The Willow Review was an independent Government-backed review aiming to underline the financial benefits of sustainability for small businesses across the UK. Co-chaired by the Small Business Minister, Nick Stace OBE and Michelle Ovens CBE, with the support of a steering board of industry leaders, government representatives, and sustainability experts, the final report provides clear evidence that sustainability practices can drive profitability, innovation, and long-term growth for businesses.
By proving the economic case for sustainable practices, the Review seeks to transform how UK businesses should think about sustainability.

The Cedar Review is an independent review into refugee entrepreneurship in the UK. The Review will examine the current state of refugee entrepreneurship, assess the economic value of refugee-led businesses, draw on international best practice, and develop evidence-based recommendations for Government, business, and support organisations to drive economic growth by increasing the success and scale of refugee-founded businesses.
The Cedar Review aims to evaluate the economic contribution of refugees across the UK, through entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation. By combining data, lived experience, and expert insight, the review will identify practical ways to remove barriers, improve access to finance and networks, and strengthen business support, ensuring that refugees can start and grow commercially successful businesses and contribute to a more competitive UK economy.
